Road trip!
I am going on a fucking road trip with a couple of the girls next weekend. I cannot wait. I haven’t done this since I was in college. We are going to take a weekend trip down to New Orleans. I know that it is after Mardi Gras, but we just want to visit without all of the party crowd down there. We are going to visit historical places and things like that. Of course we will also be in the French Quarter as well. You can’t really go to New Orleans and not visit the French Quarter.
I really can’t wait to hear some blues and jazz while we are there. I really love that kind of music. There is also a shop that I want to visit as well. It is called Erzulies. It is a occult shop where you can find the most amazing hand made jewelry. I bought something from them a few years ago and absolutely loved it. It was inexpensive, but very very nice quality. It just goes to show that you don’t have to pay an exorbitant amount to have quality jewelry. It just takes a little bit of effort to look for what you want at a decent price.
FUCKING HUNGRY!
OMG I am so fucking hungry right now, I could eat the ass end out of a dead skunk. I know that sounds totally gross right? I just had to say it though, because I am that hungry. I am not even going to go home after I get off of work, I am going to go straight to the nearest restaurant with an all you can eat buffet and pig the fuck out. I totally skipped lunch today because there was a problem with a project at work and I had to fix it fast. That took about two hours to do and lunch time was long gone by then. I ended up just getting a soda from the vending machine and that was it.
I think that the Golden Corral is right around the corner from work. Well, maybe not around the corner, but close enough to be there in a matter of minutes. I only have a couple of hours left before I get off. I really hope I can last that long. I don’t usually miss lunch, because it is hard to work when your body is screaming for sustenance. I apparently already went through all of my back up snacks that I keep in my desk for me and other employees when we have something like this happen. I am going to have to rectify that tomorrow.

I got the promotion over my fucking boss. I absolutely love it. I have never been happier than I am today. Someone on the top floor must have noticed all of my hard work and that my boss has been taking credit for it. I do all of his job plus all of mine, but I guess not complaining about it paid off. One of our top managers was promoted to a different branch in another state, so they were looking to fill his position. My boss wanted that position, but they gave it to me. That now makes me his boss.
I don’t anticipate him staying for very long now. Everyone knows he isn’t happy here, and now that I went from subordinate to boss there is no way he is going to stay. I am pretty sure I will have his resignation on my desk by the end of the week. I should have human resources start looking through applications now, so we don’t have to worry about being blind sided, but I don’t want to precipitate anything. I guess I will have to wait him out and see what he does, especially now that he is not going to have me to do his work for him anymore. Oh well, have a good day people, because mine is great.
Lost
Damn it, I lost the fucking title to the other car. When it broke down and I got a used car, I still have this one in my drive way. I need the title so the scrap people can haul it away. They are giving me two hundred and fifty dollars for it, but only if I have the title in hand. Otherwise, they will haul it off for free, but I will be out the money. I could use the extra money to make my car payment for this month. it will alleviate a little bit of stress. Not that I am doing badly, because I’m not, but a little extra always helps.
I would love to be able to put away some money soon for a little vacation. I am in desperate need of one. I could use a little R & R on a nice warm beach with a Caribbean breeze wafting over me and a Rum Runner in my hand. I can feel the Florida Keys calling my name right now. I can hear some reggae music in the air and the soft sounds of the ocean as the surf gently comes ashore. Ahhh, what a nice little day dream. I’m so going to Florida this year.
Give me a break
If you are going to quit your job, at least have the courtesy of calling and saying something, don’t just not show the fuck up. If you aren’t happy here that is fine. I can understand that as not everyone is cut out for every job. We all have our niche and finding it can be difficult. I have positions to fill though and it would be greatly appreciated to know that you are not coming back. I can easily fill them from the stacks of applications I have sitting in the file drawer.
There are tons of people looking for work right now and the job market is almost impossible to break into with so many companies down sizing and filing bankruptcy. I wish you the best of luck. I hope that you have already found something to replace the paycheck you had here before you quit. I am not angry just a little exasperated. I really would have appreciated that call from you. So now I am searching the apps and calling in people for interviews. This shouldn’t take that long to do, but it is tedious. I know I will have a headache by the end of the day after talking to all the wrong applicants.
